Can’t wake up? These speaker headboards will blast you out of bed

I don’t know what my obsession with waking up is, but I’ve done a good number of posts about crazy alarm clocks. But this one I think trumps them all. Ology partner Chip Chick brings to us a bed with speakers embedded right in the headboard. The current design is strictly for kids, but I think some adult applications could be made.

If you are looking for a new way to get out of bed then the latest headboards from Homelegance Furniture should do the trick. The Fantacy Land Youth Collection by Homelegance allows you or your child to listen to their favorite tunes not via an iPod dock or Wi-Fi radio – nah! But through the padded headboard right behind them. The headboards feature double mounted speakers, volume control and side pocket for an MP3 player. The collection offers four sports themes: baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. The headboards will only fit on twin size beds, so unless you prefer sleeping in a twin ( if you live in a NYC rental – you probably do) this latest form of technology is strictly for the kids and retails for $220.
