The Venn Diagram of Social Media

social media venn diagram

There’s a fine line between following someone’s life on Facebook and stalking them. And there is an equally fine line between capturing your thoughts in 140 characters and not being able to pin down your attention span. Where is that line, exactly?

The Social Media Venn Diagram, jokingly developed and plastered onto a tshirt I wouldn’t mind buying, tries to answer that question.

The most disturbing of the options in my opinion is the one that comes between “ADHD” and “stalking” – TweetStalk. I’d never heard of it before so I decided to check it out – it’s decidedly creepy. While the vast majority of Twitter users have their tweets out in the open to read, this application lets you read and follow people without actually following them.
