Why “going green” might not be helping at all

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

I came across a really interesting editorial at Twilight Earth entitled “Green Wont Be The Norm, Until We Stop Calling Things Green.” Author Adam Shake goes on to say:
The word “Green” has become a separatist adjective. A term used to separate something from the norm. Until products become Green by default, Green will always be [...]

Eat your breakfast. The Internet can wait.

Ology network partner ZiggyTek tells the story of an alarming trend, and one that I’m occasionally guilty of myself. After six to eight hours of network deprivation — also known as sleep — people are increasingly waking up and lunging for cellphones and laptops, sometimes even before swinging their legs to the floor and tending [...]

15 Year Old wins $50,000 for texting

Spring Forward…Fall Back

Monday, June 1st, 2009

I recently stumbled upon this lovely invention, which provides a partial solution for a frustration that I have – why do the governments of the world think that they have the power to influence the time and the number of hours of sunlight that I see? I’m talking about Daylight Saving’s Time, a practice that [...]

Skype on your iPhone and BlackBerry – will wireless companies please stop complaining already?

Monday, March 30th, 2009

According to this article from PC Magazine, Skype plans to launch on March 31 for the iPhone, and in May for the BlackBerry. In other words, the application that lets you make international calls for free from your desktop (or some USB-linked device) is moving to the – gasp – phone.
What does this mean for [...]
